Legal Experience

Georgiana R. Scott has over 27 years experience in the field of law. Ms. Scott spent several years working as a paralegal for Denver firms such as Sherman & Howard and Otten, Johnson, Robinson, Neff and Ragonetti. While attending law school, Ms. Scott clerked for the Boulder County District Attorney and Timothy R. Buchanan, P.C., a water law firm.

Community Service

While in law school, Georgiana R. Scott conducted a weekly legal clinic for battered women at the Longmont Coalition for Women in Crisis. She has served as a Victim's Advocate for the Boulder County Safehouse. Ms. Scott served on the Board of Directors for Creative Mountain, Inc., a Colorado non-profit corporation established to provide support to at-risk children (1995-1999). Ms. Scott served on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture (1996-2000). She was Marketing Director for Thistle Community Housing, Boulder County's largest provider of low-income housing (1998-1999). Ms. Scott has served on the Board of Directors of Access Counseling in Boulder, Colorado, which provides early intervention psychological counseling to residents, regardless of their ability to pay (2002-2006).

Education

Georgiana R. Scott took her undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Environmental Conservation in 1985. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 1984. Ms. Scott attended law school at the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating in 1990.

Licenses and Associations

Georgiana R. Scott is currently licensed in the State of Colorado and United States District of Colorado. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Boulder County Bar Association and El Paso County Bar Association. Ms. Scott is a member of the Boulder Interdisciplinary Committee and is a past Co-Chair of the Family Law Section of the Boulder County Bar Association. She is a charter member of the Collaborative Divorce Professionals of Boulder County and the Colorado Springs Collaborative Divorce Group. Ms. Scott is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals and Pikes Peak Collaborative Law Association. She was named to Who's Who in America in 2000.
